Natural Adventures in Historic NW Arkansas Cabins
Reno's Ozark Historic Cabins are a perfect destination for vacationers seeking seclusion and the best that nature has to offer in NW Arkansas and the Buffalo National River area.
Located in the middle of the Buffalo National River area, these historic cabins are the ideal base camp for accessing hundreds of miles of hiking and outstanding riding trails, as well as the remarkable scenery of rural NW Arkansas.
Two cabins and a farmhouse comprise Ozark Historic Cabins. They share 130 acres and access to trails and to boarding facilities for horses. All visitors need to bring are food and drinks. Searcy County is dry, so bring your own if you care.
The Historic Gates Cabin, Circa 1870
The Gates Cabin, pictured above, is built of hand-hewn logs and looks much the same as it did in 1870 when it was built by settlers. It has one queen and one full bed and sleeps four. It is on National Register of Historic Places.
The Helm-Blair Historic Farm House, pictured right, circa 1900, is on the National Register of Historic Places. This newly renovated farm house sleeps 6 and is the largest of the three dwellings. It has one queen and two double beds. It is a delightful old clapboard farm house over a hundred years old.
The Woodard-Taylor Cabin, pictured below, is another hand-hewn structure dating from the 1870s. It sleeps 6 in a secluded setting behind the Gates cabin.
All three dwellings feature tasteful furnishings, complete kitchens with eating and cooking utensils, screened in porches, outdoor barbecues and picnic tables, and privacy.
Searcy County and nearby counties are dry so alcoholic beverages must be brought in.
Reno Ozark Historic Cabins are an ideal destination for family reunions, weddings, and small group outings.
Join us at our Ozark Historic Cabins, and let us be your hosts in the NW Arkansas Buffalo River area, one of America's best kept secrets.

Visitor Feedback
"Dear Marci and Jay,
I am writing to say what a wonderful experience staying at your historic cabin is.
With the facilities to promote a vacation with our horses, and the proximity to riding them in the Buffalo National River Park, it just couldn't have been more perfect!
The cabin is so well-furnished and comfortable that we just did not want to leave. We look forward to another relaxing stay at your Ozark Historic Cabins!"
Thanks.
